Vein Procedures
Your Guide for a Successful and Seamless Vein Procedure
1. Arrive on time. Please arrive 15–30 minutes early for check-in. Bring your photo ID, insurance card, and any required paperwork.
2. Transportation planning. Most vein procedures do not require sedation, so you can typically drive yourself home.
However, if sedation is planned, you will need an adult escort to take you home.
3. Eating and drinking. In most cases, you may eat a light meal, stay well hydrated, and avoid caffeinated beverages 6hrs prior your procedure.
If sedation is required, you may be given specific fasting instructions—follow your provider’s guidance carefully.
4.Medications. Continue taking your medications as directed unless your provider instructs otherwise. Be sure to bring a current list of medications.
5. Dress comfortably. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may be asked to change into a gown depending on your procedure. Avoid lotions or oils on your legs the day of treatment.
Bring only essentials, as storage may be limited.
6. After your procedure. Many vein treatments allow you to return to normal activities the same day, though you may be advised to:
-
Wear compression stockings
-
Avoid strenuous exercise for a short period
-
Stay active with light walking
Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions based on your treatment.
Your safety is our priority
Our team will guide you through every step of your procedure and recovery to ensure a comfortable and safe experience.
